The significant alterations and rear addition to the existing bungalow home will adapt it to meet the needs of a growing family of five and the next generation of contemporary family living.

The Gordon alteration & additions are designed to be well set back from the street and corner boundary, to step down to meet the topography and site the new works to the rear and lower part of the site, secondary to the original dwelling.
The character of the proposal is contemporary with a skillion roof shading the deck to the north and permitting southern daylight into the interior of the home.
A new central exterior lightwell is at the junction of the original home and the new addition, providing natural light, cross ventilation and a burst of greenery into the interior of the home.
A new pool and spa and a new garage with internal access, a new rear side door, and outdoor toilet for the users of the pool, sub floor cellar and guest accommodation will complete this family home.
The external materials include face brickwork and rendered base, taking cues from the existing dwelling, as well as introducing new weatherboard cladding and australian hardwood timbers. Recycled bricks will feature in the new fireplace.
